I’m so happy to have Laura from Left On Peninsula Road here today to share this fun fall treat! Such a cute idea for a last minute Halloween goodie or for the entire month of November!
Hi! I’m Laura from Left on Peninsula Road, and I am positively thrilled and honored to be a new contributor here at Landeelu.com!
For my first post, I am sharing a quick and easy sweet treat. S’mores are a favorite of mine, and this cute sweet and salty version goes together easily with a few ingredients and a microwave.
Here’s what you will need:
- Jumbo Marshmallows (cut in half)
- Orange Candy Melts (I used Wilton Brand)
- Ritz Crackers
- Pretzel Sticks
Optional Supplies: Lollipop Sticks, ribbon, pretzel rods, and green Twizzlers
First, melt orange candy melts according to package directions. Dip half of the Ritz cracker tops in melted candy. Set aside to cool.
To make a s’more, place half of a large marshmallow, cut-side-down, on a plain Ritz cracker. Heat in microwave until the marshmallow puffs. Add a pretzel stick for a stem and a lollipop stick if desired. Top with a candy-coated Ritz and enjoy! (Note: Microwaves vary so watch carefully. Mine puffed in 12-13 seconds in a 1200 watt oven.)
I added some green ribbon to the sticks and planted the S’mores Pops in a cute jar for serving:
If you’d rather skip the sticks and serve the s’mores on a platter, try adding a green Twizzler to make a pumpkin patch:
Or, for even more fun, throw in some pretzel rods and you’ve got cute little pumpkins sitting on a fence:)
Happy Halloween! Have S’more fun than ever!
Can you stand how cute these are? And I love the idea of using Ritz Crackers rather than graham crackers… yum! Thank you so much Laura! Be sure to check out her blog and other social media site (links below) and follow her! She’s fantastic!
