When you already have some cute stuff laying around the house, why not make it into a darling Valentine’s Day mantel display, right?
I shopped the house and pulled this together quickly along with a couple of quick craft projects and I love how it all came together! Rather than the traditional reds for Valentine’s Day this goes more blush pinks, gold and white which go with my other home color palette much better.
I had purchased the FOR LIKE EVER and XOXO framed art from Hobby Lobby a few weeks ago when they were 50% off with intentions of using them in a gallery wall in my daughter’s room. They were still leaning against the wall waiting to be hung so I figured I may as well use them!
I made the hearts banner quickly by making a heart template using the old fold-a-piece-of-paper-in-half-and-cutting-out-a-heart technique and then traced it onto some gold glitter cardstock, white cardstock and pink cardstock and just cut them out with scissors…no fancy cutting machine or anything you guys! 🙂 For the white heart I also punched out some small circles from the gold cardstock to make polka dots and glued them on. I used a small hole punch to make holes on the edges of the hearts and then tied them all together with white twine. Easy!
And, for the round LOVE sign, you can see the full tutorial on that HERE.
I then got a white feather boa from the craft store and put it along the bottom for a little softness. Doesn’t get much easier than that!
Do you decorate for Valentine’s Day? Do you create a Valentine’s Day mantel? This might be my easiest holiday mantel yet with quick and simple DIY projects along with just looking around my own house!
Happy Valentine’s decorating!

I love the pink love sign!!!! Wondering where you found that font, if you don’t mind sharing.
What color pink did you use on the round love sign?
Hi Sandy! I used a Folk Art Acrylic paint called “Cameo Blush” for my pink. I got it at Hobby Lobby!
I love this – where did you find the pink, gold, gold polka dots hearts for the banner?
Hi Kathie!
It’s just scrapbook paper that I had! I think it was from a big coordinated scrapbook paper “pad” that they sell at Hobby Lobby. Thanks for stopping by!
