I saw these fillable “lightbulb” ornaments at Michaels and knew they would make the perfect small gift for neighbors, friends, visiting teachees, co-workers, etc! It’s really all about the presentation, right? I think a teacher would love it too but I would proably punch a hole in a gift card and attach that along with the printable tag I designed as well. I know teachers love gift cards… it’s their love language. 🙂
If you’d like to make this little gift idea they are super easy! Just go to Michaels and get the fillable lightbulb shaped ornaments. Fill with some candy and attach a tag (download below)! I even made two different color schemes… one with the traditional red and green and the other more neutral/metallic tones if you find some cute candy that would go with that better.

Super easy and cute, right? And feel free to use these tags on ANYTHING you’d like, of course! Write your To/From info on the back of tag and you’re all set to attach it to whatever strikes your fancy!
Happy Christmas Crafting!
Pure cuteness! I’ve gotta get to Michaels! 😉
Such a neat idea!
Thanks Robin!
I’ve always loved these cute little light bulbs but this is GENIUS! Such a cute idea! Now I just need a large group of people to make them for!
They are perfect for a bunch of people, no doubt!
Thanks for the tag. I found a 10 pack of the LED flashlights at the tractor supply store for under $10 and have them individually packaged up for teacher and neighbor gifts. These tags are the perfect finishing touch.
Great idea and use for the tag! Thanks for sharing!
Do you know the SKU for the bulbs? My Michael’s has “never heard of them”. ;-(
Any tips on opening the light bulb. I bought a bunch today but can’t get them open.
Hi Erika! So you need to squeeze and then remove the wire loop at the top of the ornament. Then the silver cap thingy will come off. Then you can open the two sides of the ornament easily. Then fill it with what you want and put it back together in reverse!
Thank you for these tags!! I have some homemade ornaments that I am going to be dropping places the next few days, these are perfect!!
You are so welcome! Thanks for stopping by!
Hi – love these! Making these for my daughter’s daycare teachers, but want to put a personal note on the back in the same font. Would you be willing to share what fonts you used?
(And I also had trouble opening them – thanks for replying to the comment above with your tips!)
Thanks!
Sandra
I made a bunch last night – simply adorable! I showed some co-workers and they made some well – what a great idea – thanks for the tags too!
Hi,
I am wondering what size of light bulb shaped ornaments you used. I was looking at some at Joann’s today but they don’t look like I could fit Hershey kisses thru the opening.
Thank you,
Kathy Kuhar
I have been looking for these lightbulbs everywhere…has anyone come across them this year?
Can u tell me the measurements of the bulb? I’m having to order online my stores around me don’t have them. Any idea where I could find them?
I found them on Amazon from a supplier called Creative Hobbies
I love your tags but the words in black print very blurry on the best print setting. Any way you can email me the document?
