I kind of love decorating for Valentine’s Day. Everything is so sweet & feel-goody. I had so much fun decorating my Valentine’s Day mantel this year. “I Heart You” was my theme and I ran with it. Hearts, hearts and more hearts! I tried not to go over-the-top but I guess that’s all a matter of opinion. 🙂
First I created this I HEART YOU printable and framed it in a 16×20 frame from Ikea (I used these frames quite often on my mantels, if you hadn’t noticed already). You can download it in 16×20, 8×10 or 5×7 by clicking on the sizes. I then wrapped some ribbon and baker’s twine around the top of the frame and hung a wire heart I had made (instructions HERE) and spray painted red.
I also have my Wire Heart Garland which I shared with you last week and I still love.
I decided to bring my little red pots and Wire Heart Picks from my centerpiece in my kitchen out to my mantel. Sometimes you just need to look and see who needs it most, you know? In this case, the mantel won. 🙂
I also made a Single Heart Printable for my 12×12 Ikea frame which you can download HERE. It has the same grey and white polka dot background as the I HEART YOU printable to tie them together.
And that is it! Simple, sweet and festive. Just how I like it. 🙂
