I wonder if someday I will be at that maturity level where I decorate for fall by simply and subtly arranging some white pumpkins I picked up at the local organic farm along with some perfectly shaped branches I trimmed from my garden. ::sigh:: Maybe someday. But that day is NOT TODAY. My Halloween mantel is up and quite the opposite of subtle.
I don’t think anyone will wonder “Hmmmm… what holiday is this for?” right? I LOVE the black and white with little pops of orange. And of course the silvery bling!
I used my Faux Mercury Glass Candle Holders which you can see how to make yourself HERE. Love the shine they add!
I also used my Buffalo Check Printable Banner (you can download it too HERE!) and I also made a couple of coordinating printables! Don’t say I never did anything for you. 🙂 You can download the Happy Halloween! one HERE and the Trick or Treat one HERE. They are sized as 16x20s which means you can print them that size (I like to print at Costco) or as 8×10 on your home printer.
And I had to pull out my adorable little thrift store owl I spray-painted a couple of years ago. I wuv him. I really do.
That awesome black and white stripe pitcher was a last minute addition but could not be more perfect! I saw it at Home Goods and couldn’t just leave it there! My black and white stripe candles (from Michaels) were just begging me to buy it. And even though it was sold as a “Halloween decoration” I am pretty sure I’ll have it out all year round. Black and white stripes and I have a thing going on lately. We’re pretty hot and heavy right now.
Also spotted is one of my DIY Display Pedestals! You can see how easy they are to make HERE.
Now to add some not-so-subtle decor around the rest of the house too!
How do you like to decorate for Halloween? Subtle, all out Crazy Halloween Town or somewhere in between?
