A Finished Basement: The Bathroom
As you can see, it is a nice big bathroom! No windows, which makes it hard to do it justice with photos, but super pretty, believe me. We carried the Kivu Ceniza “wood” ceramic tiles in here and had the same countertop on the vanity as we had out in the kitchenette. That same slab also got us the bench in the shower as well as the threshold into the shower as well.
And my little 12×24 cararra marble tiles! Eek! I love them so much. I’m thinking about naming each of them, they are so dang cute. We also got them at Floor & Decor. Man, I love that place! Oh, and no surprise, these 12×24 cararra marble tiles came from there as well. We installed them subway style.
The shower door was a custom glass door we had made. It was about $1500 but was our main splurge in there. Why would we want to cover up all of that beautiful tile with an ugly door? <<< what I said to my husband when he cringed at the price. 🙂
We got the vanity at a discount place our contractor told us about for a steal. We had to walk around this weird warehouse and look at all kinds of vanities but it was totally worth it for the price! I think we got this for around $200. And I got the light fixture from Lowes and you can see it here. I ordered the mirror from Overstock.com and love it! It’s the Wyndenhall Carlyle White Bath Mirror.
I still have lots of decorating to do in here but it will just have to come little by little!
Oh, and we have a light there over the shower that has a fan, light and heat function. The kids kept getting the switches mixed up (since the heat and fan sound the same) so I had to label the switches! Thank goodness for a vinyl cutting machine! 🙂
