Are you still looking for the perfect easy Valentine idea for your kids (or you!) to take into school this year? I was too, until I saw this adorable idea in Family Fun Magazine! They just created it with some construction paper and marker so I thought I’d make it easy on you (and myself) and create a free printable for you and I to whip up these adorable “Eyes” for You Valentines!
Here are the supplies you’ll need:
- googly eyes (large-ish ones for the bottoms of the Hershey Kisses and smaller ones for the bag topper)
- 3×4 inch treat bags
- Hershey Kisses
- Glue Dots
- Free download of the bag topper design HERE.
- white cardstock
- scissors or paper cutter
- stapler
To make, simply download and print out bag toppers (6 per page, link above) onto white cardstock. Cut apart and fold in half (I scored mine first, but that’s optional). Have your child write the TO and FROM on each bag topper.
Using the glue dots, adhere the larger googly eyes to the bottoms of each Hershey Kiss. Fill your treat bags with desired number of kisses (we did 4 each bag). Fold bag topper over top of treat bag and staple into place. Add smaller googly eyes to bag topper in space provided.
My daughter and I loved making these together and she can’t wait to hand them out to her classmates! She has a slightly unhealthy obsession with glue dots now, however. 🙂
Happy Valentine Crafting!
Darling, and I so need simple this year! Had great plans for the most adorable Valentine for my daughter, but it’s just not happening. Maybe next year. Hey, I’m trying to follow you by email and can’t figure out where it is. Am I challenged? Most likely. 🙂
Hi Kim! Simple is always good! Also, I added the subscribing by email box on the right hand side of my site. Enter your email there and hopefully that will work! Thanks for stopping by!
