SUPPLIES:
- wood plaques (bought at any craft store for about $1.50 each)
- hooks (I got mine at Hobby Lobby on sale for 50% off! So about $3 each.)
- craft paint
- mod podge
- sandpaper
- masking tape
STEP ONE: Paint the plaques. I painted mine all white, let them dry, and then painted the edge orange. I then got out my 3/4″ masking tape and taped off 3/4″ stripes. I painted the exposed parts orange and removed the tape.

Love, love red and white stripes! The towel holders are darling and look fantastic with the shower curtain.
Love these stripes in the bathroom!
I may totally take this idea to help with the towel situation in my boys’s jack-and-jill shared bathroom. I have already added another towel bar and it’s still not enough! And in my daughter’s bathroom too (because I stole her towel bar to give to the boys) she can have a cuter one. Thanks!
Awww… those are adorable! So happy and bright!
wow, what a fab bathroom! love that morning checklist, too;)

Just wanted to let you know you inspired me! I didn’t paint my plaques, but I used scrapbook paper, acrylic paint and Mod Podge. Thanks for the wonderful inspiration!

This would be great outside by the pool too. Always looking for a place to hang wet beach towels.
I loved these striped towel hooks so much that I made some for my boyfriend and I. We don’t live together but he is over enough that when he showers, we get confused of whose towel is whose. Therefore, I did one pink and purple and the other two shades of blue! They’re perfect! Thanks for sharing the idea.
Where did you get those towels!!!
Target! Of course. 🙂
