I have been thinking lately that I want to paint my interior doors black. I know there have been a LOT of people (bloggers) who have done this and I LOVE the look… but it’s kind of scary! So I’ve decided to try them out in the basement (since we are finishing it right now anyway) and see how I like them and then maybe we will move the idea upstairs. But this got me thinking about other ways I could dress up my doors. I mean, if black paint makes doors look more expensive and custom, imagine what some molding, wall paper, and stencils would do! My wheels are turning! So today I’ve rounded up a bunch of awesome ideas to dress up interior doors and make them something special! I like to call them DIY Interior Door Hacks but that’s just me. 🙂 Do any of these ideas inspire you?

I just love that a really nice quality door can be both functional and attractive. Some of those French double doors above are really nice looking. Normally, I just see a door as a door. With the right kind of paint applied, they can look really gorgeous.
I must say that I love solid wood doors. They just have a different feel to them. The wood work on solid wood doors can be beautiful, and having a nice stain will help to bring out the wood grain.
Black can really look nice on doors as long as the wall will match well with it. My door is painted with a dreamy white color and it matches well with the red brick wall. I have some friends who have painted theirs black and it just comes out perfectly. I have really enjoyed reading your post and I must say that I really like those french doubles. Thanks and keep up the great work.
