Cupcakes are such a cute, easy and fun little gift to give to someone! Here is a darling cupcake packaging idea to make it a LOT easier.
Cupcakes are delicious. Everyone would love to get one to know you were thinking about them. The problem is, how do you wrap one (or several) up to hand out? Cupcake packaging can be tricky but I figured out a way to wrap up a bunch to hand out individually during Teacher Appreciation Week!
I begged asked my friend Ann to make 100 cupcakes for me. I am not kidding when I say she makes the most amazing buttercream frosting I have ever tasted. I’m not even a big frosting person and I dream about this stuff on a weekly basis. The recipe requires a kitchen scale, “listening for noises” and overall gut feelings. Yeah, it’s one of those kinds. Which is why it’s so good.
Sorry, I’m getting off topic here… the point is, Ann made 100 cupcakes and we had to figure out how to package them up to take over to the elementary school. Turns out a clear plastic cup, cellophane, twine and some cute washi tape worked like magic! We added a cute tag that says “YOU TAKE THE CAKE!” and it was a hit!

Here they are all in the back of my car. The teachers LOVED them, btw.
Of course this little trick isn’t just limited to Teacher Appreciation Week. You could try this cupcake packaging technique when you want to deliver ONE to a friend you’ve been thinking about!
