These fun DIY dog beds are amazing! Create a fun and stylish space for your pup!
So we have a little “perpy derg” (have you seen that video? Hilarious… see it here) named Koda and he is a fantastic member of the family. He plays, snuggles, keeps watch on the neighborhood and never sasses me. My daughter is obsessed with him and he pretends like he doesn’t mind her constant hugging, carrying, kissing, trapping him in her room, etc. Basically, he’s awesome.
I’ve been thinking lately that I want to make him a fun bed that he can snuggle into down in the family room but I don’t really want an eye sore of some generic dog bed out in the middle of the room. I’m guessing that if you have a dog, you’ve thought about this exact thing! So today I’m rounding up some of the best Creative DIY Dog Beds around the internet in hopes that it might inspire both of us! People are so creative… I would have never thought of half of these!
Take this one, for example… using the bottom of a nightstand for Fido’s own little bed? Adorable and genius! Then he can be close without actually having to sleep on your head.
This is a dog crate plan from Ana White. She posted pics before it was finished/stained/painted but I can see a lot of potential for style with this one. Tuck it in next to a couch and use it for an end table. Perfect!
I think this one is for sale but I can see some of you ultra creatives being able to DIY it. An ottoman/dog bed combo is awesome for any family room!
This is another one for sale but it got me thinking about getting an old dresser from Goodwill and hacking it so it functions as a dog crate! Then it could be put anywhere in the house and no one would ever even know!
This is another awesome furniture piece doubling as a dog kennel. It looks custom built and amazing!
I am loving this next one where someone gutted an old console TV and made it into Squeaker’s bedroom. So. Stinkin. Cute.
Here is another great camoflauge idea. She got the crate she wanted first and then built a table to go over the top. When the curtain is closed you’d have no idea a dog crate was under there. It’s beautiful!
This orange and white striped dog bed is so adorable I wouldn’t mind having it out in the middle of my family room. It would be the most stylish piece in the room! 🙂
Here’s another one I think is so cute that I wouldn’t mind having it out. An adorable crate turned dog bed. Love it!
If you have a cute vintage suitcase, turn it into the cutest dog bed on earth! Why wouldn’t you??
And how great are these repurposed drawers as dog beds? Take the drawers from an old broken dresser, paint them and put them on the ground with a fluffy blanket or pillow. Easy and cute!
I love this mid-century chic dog bed so much. What I love about it is that they made it to fit into their home decor so perfectly! And that Star Trek looking fabric? Perfection in a dog bed.
Here’s another cute crate-turned-dog-bed. Looks so easy to make and is so pretty… can you even use the word “pretty” when referring to a dog bed? Cuz it totally is.Meet the B’s
And if you have the room and means to give your pup his own little room, why not? These next two use that awkward space under the stairs to give their fur baby a space of its own that even Harry Potter wouldn’t mind sleeping in.
I love this next one because I think my 9 year old daughter would love to make one for Koda… it’s made out of a sweatshirt! And as a bonus it will smell like you, which your dog will appreciate! Cuz dogs are weird. 🙂
And finally, this cute no-sew dog bed would be a fun little project for you to make for your pup too!
