Create beautiful neutral fall decorations with faux pumpkins and spray paint!
Since honing in on my personal style and coming up with a “whole home color palette” I have come to discover that traditional fall decorations don’t exactly jive with what I have going on around here. The warm colors of fall are completely out of place and I was not very excited about decorating for fall this year.
If you are like me and feel like the usual reds, oranges, browns and rusts of fall don’t go with the rest of your home, I encourage you to look around and see how you can take what you have and completely transform it to fit into your home! It was so much fun!
First of all, I gathered up all of my faux pumpkins and gourds. I had a TON! I have no idea where they all came from but I am guessing they are from years of collecting and never, ever purging. ;D This is one instance where that actually came in handy.
So I gathered them all up and then decided to spray paint the majority of them white, a few gold, and even fewer black. A day of spray painting in my garage is a fantastic day so I was ecstatic.
Then I figured out a way to cram them all on my mantel along with my large round black mirror. I had fun arranging and rearranging until I liked how it looked. I even took a couple of white pumpkins back out and sprayed one black and one gold to create a little balance.
Beautiful Neutral Fall Decorations
I finished it all off with a cute HELLO FALL banner from the Target dollar section and some gold vinyl I cut with my vinyl cutting machine to go around the mirror! The banner ($3) was the only thing I purchased for my fall decorations this year which was a total win for me!
Do you have anything around the house that you could transform to fit your current style? I feel like I have all new fall decorations now!
