When I was growing up my mom woke up every morning and made five school lunches before sending us all on our way. It consisted of a peanut butter and jam sandwich, some plain potato chips in a fold over baggie (not even zip lock), and a whole apple in a brown paper sack. By the time lunch rolled around my apple had indented my sandwich and the jam had seeped through the bread and all of my potato chips would be crushed. And guess what, I survived! But you don’t want to put your kids through that, do you? No no no. With all of the fun ways you can cut food and compartmentalize them in to darling shapes, why would you want to? Today I’ve rounded up some of my favorite lunch ideas in case you’re wanting to give your kid a squeal of delight each time they open their lunch at school. It’s a little reminder that you are thinking about them there in the middle of their school day. What could be better than that? Click on the link below each image to take you to the full post!
