Easter is coming and I am so happy to get my Easter mantel up! Easter crafts are my favorite because of the pretty colors and it seems like you can get as cute as you want with Easter and no one will judge you for it. 🙂 I kept it pretty simple and used a lot of things I already had and it all came together!
First of all I had had some requests for an Easter version of my wood round signs. You can see my Valentine’s Day one HERE and my St. Patrick’s Day one HERE. I actually made this Easter one on the backside of my Lucky sign! They both were going to have the gold edge so why not, right? I cut the stencil with my vinyl cutting machine, applied it to my painted board (I used Cameo Blush Acrylic craft paint from Folk Art) and then spray painted it gold. I then removed the stencil and voila! A Happy Easter sign! There’s a more in depth tutorial on my Love sign post. You can purchase an already done stencil in my Etsy shop HERE if you’d like to make one as well.
The little bunnies were made using this free webdings font. I just cut out my favorites in vinyl colors that I had on hand (pink, celedon green, turquoise and gold) and applied them to some 2×6 boards that I had cut to about 8 inches, painted with white craft paint and lightly sanded the edges. You could also use the bunnies from that font as a template and cut them out of scrapbook paper too! Would be darling actually. Wish I would have thought of that sooner. 🙂 I added some height with one of my DIY Display Pedestals (still love those things!).
I made the doily banner just like I had made this St. Patrick’s Day one a couple of years ago except I just cut out the circles in the same vinyl colors as my bunnies. Made it super easy! And if doilies aren’t the perfect decor for Easter then I don’t know what is. Honestly. Plus, if you just buy one pack of doilies they will last you your whole life. It’s like they multiply themselves or something. I also grabbed a large mason jar I had, gave it a couple of coats of white craft paint and distressed it a little before adding some flowers and a white burlap bow.
