I continue to deck the halls for All Hallow's Eve! I finished the entry way and am excited to share my "bat cave" with you today! Have I mentioned my love affair with paper? It's so cheap and easy to work with and, in this case of it being cut into about 35 bats, HIGH IMPACT!
I used my Silhouette to cut the bats but I'm sure your local scrapbooking store has a die cut that would be very inexpensive to use (if not free). There are also thousands of bat images out there on the web you (or your slaves kids) could use as a template to hand cut your own.
I then folded them in half to give them some dimension and just stuck them on the wall using masking tape. Loved the end result!
Other details of the entry way are my last-year's-clearance-Halloween-garland from Target that I wrapped around my topiary tree...
...and a witch silhouette I cut out and stuck to my mirror.
My little bowl of CREEPERS is also in there. :)
Just off my entry way is my living room which always causes issues around this time of year since the color scheme doesn't lend itself well to the fall holidays. I fixed this issue last year with my Pretty Pumpkins. For Halloween this year I decided to make them a little more modern by replacing the decorative twig stems with some cute ribbon. It gives them a whole new look!
I love Halloween!
